A lifeline in the driver’s seat Volunteers bridge healthcare gap for seniors in Taos County

When Chad Riden gives seniors in Taos County a ride, it might mean a two-hour drive to a cancer center…
Parts of Bartlesville have been targeted for a pilot program to improve rural public transportation with a rideshare-esque, after-hours shuttle service. Beginning Nov. 4, Pick Transportation will allow Bartlesville residents to book rides within the city for $3 after normal public transit hours. Part of a mobility on demand effort organized by Pelivan Transit, Kiblos Transit, Cimarron Public Transit and JAMM Transit, Bartlesville is the largest of 21 cities across the state where the program will be tested.
