FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - Big Bend Transit announced free weekday transportation in both Franklin and Gulf Counties through Florida’s Transportation Disadvantaged Program.
The program offers free rides Monday though Friday to help people get to doctor appointments, work and job interviews, school or training programs, grocery stores, and more.
Residents must apply for the TD program and may qualify if they are 60 or older, have a low income, have a disability or health issue that prevents them from driving, don’t own or have access to a vehicle, or can’t afford to travel another way.
