Volunteer Transportation Programs in Rural and Low-Density Areas

Are you an organization with a Volunteer Driver Program in a rural or low-density area? Do you want to help strengthen VDPs in rural America? Take this survey by April 30 to contribute to the national toolkit.

Results from the survey will help inform a resource for State DOTs and other entities to plan, implement and sustain VDPs to respond to transportation gaps. Will Rodman (TTI) and Carrie Diamond (Easterseals) will share the preliminary findings at a CCAM-TAC workshop at CTAA’s EXPO.

Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) in partnership with RLS and Associates, Inc. has developed an  resource for every state and the District of Columbia. After an introduction to different models of coverage, the resource provides an overview of each state’s model.
