The Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD) of Southern Oregon developed the Go Vets program which ran from April to August 2018. The
goal of the Go Vets program was to increase Veterans’ access to medical appointments, work, and social and recreational opportunities by raising their awareness and confidence in using transportation options. The program achieved its goals of increasing transportation access,
awareness, and confidence by hiring a fellow Veteran to hand deliver 375 customized “Go Kits” full of transportation information to Veterans; hosting five free community events and participating in four partner events reaching 400 Veterans; and building capacity at local Veteran partner organizations
