The dream of high-speed ground transportation that can whisk you from L.A. to San Francisco, from New York to Washington DC, or from London to Edinburgh in under 30 minutes became much more real yesterday, as Virgin Hyperloop took the first human passengers for a high-speed ride on its test track in Las Vegas.
