Omnitrans introduced a third OmniRide microtransit zone, allowing riders in Bloomington to book their transit ride on demand.
Using a free mobile app, OmniRide On-Demand, customers reserve a trip to and from any location in the OmniRide Bloomington service area. Destinations include Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Kaiser Fontana, Bloomington and Citrus High Schools and Agua Mansa logistics employers. The app will direct customers to the nearest virtual stop and arrive for pickup within 15 minutes before proceeding to their requested drop-off point, similar to Uber or Lyft service.
