Get ready for the next story in our These Roads We Share series which highlights the Rhode Island Travel Training…
We are excited to share the very first video in These Roads We Share, a new documentary series that highlights how communities across the country are using the Federal Transit Administration’s Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) grant funds to expand access to transportation through innovation, coordination, and heart.
Our debut story takes us to western New York, where Here2There is reshaping how people of all ages and abilities find transportation. What began as a single-county initiative - RideLivINgston - has grown into a three-county collaboration, bringing together partners from Livingston, Ontario, and Monroe Counties to build a shared, regional mobility resource. Through an easy-to-use website, users simply enter their location, mobility needs, and destination details and the platform instantly displays all available transportation options, drawing from verified providers across all three counties to match riders with the services that fit their needs. The video introduces the people behind the work, the partners who made it possible, and the community members who benefit every day from easier, more connected mobility.
Along with this unique regional partnership, Here2There also stands out because the lead agency is Lifespan of Greater Rochester, a not-for-profit dedicated to the opportunities and challenges of the second half of life. Access to community transportation benefits all riders, but it is also a lifeline for family caregivers supporting loved ones who can no longer drive themselves to appointments, activities, and essential services.

A common theme you’ll see throughout this video series is the power of coordination — how collaborating across agencies, sharing ideas, and braiding funding sources can lead to projects that are both innovative and deeply impactful. Stay tuned for more stories in the series, each one shining a light on the programs, people, and partnerships that keep our communities moving - one ride, one neighbor, and one story at a time… along These Roads We Share.
