NCDOT announces new transit partnership projects to expand mobility

  • Date: 08/11/2026

The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Integrated Mobility Division (IMD) announced funding for 16 new Coordinated Public Transportation (ConCPT) projects that will expand public transportation options and improve mobility for communities across North Carolina.

One of those projects includes a public transportation project that will provide reliable, ongoing trips to Sandhill Community College in Moore and Hoke counties.

The ConCPT program encourages collaboration among two or more transit agencies to maximize available resources while improving the quality and reach of public transportation services throughout the state. These projects reflect NCDOT’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation options that support economic opportunity and enhance quality of life.
